Good morning NAHS!

Today we will follow a Day 7 Schedule. The order of periods is 7, 1, flexblock, 2, 3, 4.

The Student Council is having its first general meeting on September 22! Anyone is welcome to join - whether you’ve been involved before or this is your first time - there’s a place for you! Come and meet new people, get involved, build leadership skills, and discover many other exciting opportunities. We can’t wait to see you there! 8th Grade Events is hosting their annual Clubs and Activities Fair on October 14. If you are a captain, a president/director, or a teacher that is in charge of a club or sport please respond and complete the Google Form that was recently shared with you. Please complete by October 2nd.

If  you are a Junior or a Senior and still have your old computer--would you like a new one?  Bring your old computer AND charging cord to the library to pick up your brand new--hot off the assembly line, state of the art computer.  If you have lost, misplaced or broken your charging cord, don’t stress--just bring your computer and $20.00; we will be happy to exchange those for a new computer and cord!  We still have 50 computers to be picked up, so we should have a stampede to the library doors. Are you passionate about history and ready to bring the past to life? Do you want to explore powerful stories, compete at regional and national levels, and create projects that make an impact? Then join the National History Day Club! We meet in Room 211 every Day 2 during flex. The Google Classroom code is f6odenxi. Are you interested in stocks, finance, or economics? Are you interested in competing with like minded peers in investing competitions? Please think about joining the Finance Club. We will meet on Tuesday September 22nd right after school in Mr. Ferguson's room, Room210. If you have any questions you can email him at aferguson@naschools.net 

The Debate Team will be holding an introductory meeting immediately after school in Mr. Russo's room, 212, on Thursday September 24.  Come by and become part of a team that allows you to develop argumentative skills in a civilized manner and makes it fun to do so! 

Interested in a Career in Education? Awesome opportunity for an internship at the Early Learning Center (ELC)! Gain valuable hands-on experience working in an early childhood setting while earning School to Work credits on your transcript (and it looks great on college applications and resumes!). Students MUST have an SLP on their schedule to participate. Interested juniors and seniors should reach out to Mrs. Magit as soon as possible to learn more. 

DECA is an international student organization that prepares high school and college students for careers in marketing, finance, hospitality, and management. DECA functions primarily as a competitive club where members build business skills through hands-on challenges and tests. There will be a meeting for DECA Exploratory Club during Flexblock on Thursday, September 24th in room 106. Come check it out to learn more.

Class of 2028 and Class of 2029! Interested in travel? Seeing new places? Meeting new people? Come to Portugal, April 2028 during our April Vacation. Information was sent to your respective Google Classrooms this week. An informational meeting will be held on 9/23 at 6:30 in the Auditorium. Look for posters around the school with information. Do you have a knack for solving mysteries and a love for history? Then the history mystery club is the perfect place for you! The club involves uncovering mysteries, engaging in thrilling debates and competing for a ton of prizes! Our first meeting is on Monday, September 21st during flex block in Room 211 (Ms Guden's room). The class code is hjffeof7. Contact Sai Karnati or Tiya Banerjee for more details. 

Are you interested in making NAHS a more supportive place for all LGBTQ+ people? If so, join Building Bridges! The first informational meeting will be during Flex block on Tuesday, Sept 22- All are welcome! See Ms. Mo in room 207 if you are interested in joining but are unable to attend the Flex meeting next Tuesday. 

Looking to get involved in your community, earn service hours, and have some fun along the way? Join the Interact Club for an introductory meeting during Flex Block on Monday, September 21st, in Room 131. Come learn more about the club, upcoming service opportunities, and how you can get involved! See Ms. Roy for more information. 

Do you like playing games and making friends? If so, come to the games club! There we play all sorts of video, board, and card games. We meet every Friday except the first friday of the month from 2-4 in room 209, Mr. Thibeault's room. Make sure to join our google classroom for updates, the code to join is 6mqc7nx. Attention NAHS Students! There will be an introductory meeting of the Future Teachers' Club in Mr. Russo's room, 212, during Flex Block on Sept. 25.  Come and hear how rewarding and fulfilling it is to engage how to be someone who can enlighten young minds to learn new things!  Hope to see you then.

Interested in a future career in dentistry? Join Pre-Dental club! Our first Meeting is today September 18th in room 226 during flex! Hear from guest speakers, gain volunteer hours at elementary school presentations, and connect with your community! Our google classroom code is ozeq7ywo.

Best Buddies creates meaningful, one-on-one friendships and builds an inclusive community where everyone belongs. Attention sophomores, juniors, and seniors: Are you involved in a club, sport, or activity that you love and think more students should know about?
