North Attleborough Public Schools Now Accepting 2023-24 Massachusetts Interdistrict School Choice Applications

NORTH ATTLEBOROUGH – Superintendent John Antonucci is pleased to announce that North Attleborough Public Schools is now accepting applications as part of the Massachusetts Interdistrict School Choice program.

The Massachusetts Interdistrict School Choice program allows non-resident students to attend North Attleborough Public Schools in selected grades. School choice brings resources, as well as students, to the district.

The North Attleborough School Committee voted in February to expand the district's offerings of school choice to grades K-8. The district previously offered only high school choice slots since 2020.

For the 2023-2024 school year, the school committee has approved the following seats in each grade:

  • Kindergarten through Grade 8: Five openings per grade level
  • Grade 9: 10 openings
  • Grade 10: Eight openings
  • Grade 11: Six openings
  • Grade 12: Seven openings

All school choice applications must be submitted to the district by June 30 for the 2023-24 school year. To access the application and find more information, click here.  A lottery will be held on July 5, if necessary.

"We are pleased to have the opportunity to extend our school choice program to families with those in grades K-8," Superintendent Antonucci said. "The North Attleborough Public Schools boasts a large selection of rigorous courses, extracurriculars and athletics for those who attend our schools, and thanks to the school committee we will now be able to offer those opportunities to all interested students."

School choice allows parents/guardians to seek options for their students outside of the town where they live. Families must provide their own transportation from their homes to the North Attleborough school. For students who are eligible for special education services, the sending district will reimburse North Attleborough for the costs associated with the educational services.
