Computer Haiku - Unknown source

 

Please try the following BEFORE submitting a tech support work request.

My computer will not turn on. 

  • Are all wires and plugs securely plugged in?

  • Is the power to all parts turned on?

  • "My monitor says, NO SIGNAL. " This means your computer is off. Turn it on.

My printer light is blinking. 

  • You either have a paper jam or need ink.

  • Carefully try to remove any jammed paper.

  • See your building principal or dept head for ink supplies.

My printer will not print!

  • Elementary clusters: The teacher station must be turned on first for the printer to work. 

  • Restart your cluster and turn on the T station first.

I cannot log onto network software (i.e. Eutactics, MMS, Orchard, Wiggle Works).

  • REBOOT your computer.  

  • Be sure to use your correct logon and password. 

  • This may resolve the problem by reestablishing your network connection.

My computer is acting strange!       

  • My fonts are not appearing, features in Word disappear, etc.

  • My printer does not print what I wrote!

  • Save your work, then REBOOT your computer. This may resolve the problem. 

  • Your  computer resources and available memory are probably low.
