December Nurse's Notes

The health office has been extremely busy these past few weeks. Most of our hearing  and vision screenings have been done. Hearing rechecks are  hopefully going to be done prior to the holiday break. If your child fails either the hearing or vision screening, please contact your provider to have them evaluated. Please make sure you let me know what the findings are so that I can update your child's health record. Thanks so much for your cooperation!

I'm still looking for any outstanding Kindergarten and Grade 4 physicals. Please send them in as soon as you can. There are several kindergarten students that still need to show proof of lead testing. This is a state requirement.

The illness season is upon us. It's not too late for a flu shot if you are your children haven't gotten one. Please encourage frequent hand washing and proper cough etiquette. We strictly adhere to the illness guidelines policy. We want your children in school, but if they are ill, they need to stay home. If you are unsure if you should send them or not- call me!
