Spring Season

The following information is 100% contingent upon us all returning to school on May 4, 2020. 



As voted on by the Hockomock Athletic Directors, the following parameters pertain to Baseball, Softball, and Tennis:

  1. Kelley-Rex and Davenport teams will play a 10 game (home and away) schedule within their respective divisions. Divisional championships will be based on this 10 game schedule. 
  2. On June 9th and 10th, all teams will play 2 games against other Hockomock teams. The format of these games will be determined by the Hockomock Athletic Directors prior to the start of the season. 
  3. Following this 12 game league schedule, any team that qualifies for the MIAA postseason tournament will move on and play in accordance with the MIAA format. The final regular-season game must be played by June 12th. Seedings will take place on June 13th. MIAA Tournaments will begin the week of the 15th. 
  4. All teams that do not qualify for tournament play will compete 3 additional times against Hockomock opponents. The dates of these contests will be June 15, 17 and 19. Opponents and venues will be determined by the Hockomock Athletic Directors.
  5. All non-varsity teams will compete 3 additional times against Hockomock opponents. The dates of these contests will be June 15, 17 and 19. Opponents and venues will be determined by the Hockomock Athletic Directors.
  6. The above criteria do not apply for Freshman Softball teams. Individual schools, who have a Freshman Softball team, will schedule games independently of the Hockomock League schedule.



As voted on by the Hockomock Athletic Directors, the following parameters pertain to Boys and Girls Lacrosse:

  • Kelley-Rex Boys teams will play an 8 game (home and away) schedule within their respective divisions. (Taunton will not have a Varsity team) Divisional championships will be based on this 8 game schedule.
  • Kelley-Rex Girls teams will play a 10 game (home and away) schedule within their respective divisions. Divisional championships will be based on this 10 game schedule.
  • Davenport Boys will play a 10 game (home and away) schedule within their respective divisions. Divisional championships will be based on this 10 game schedule.
  • Davenport Girls teams will play an 8 game (home and away schedule within their respective division. (Stoughton will not have a Varsity team) Divisional championships will be based on this 8 game schedule.
  • Kelley-Rex Boys may schedule 2 out-of-league games. Teams will do their best to schedule these games during the bye created by Taunton. 
  • Davenport Girls may schedule 2 out-of-league games. Teams will do their best to schedule these games during the bye created by Stoughton.

  • The above criteria do not apply for Boys and Girls Freshman Lacrosse teams. Individual schools, who have Freshman teams, will schedule games independently of the Hockomock League schedule. 



As voted on by the Hockomock Athletic Directors, the following parameters pertain to Boys and Girls Spring Outdoor Track & Field:

  1. Kelley-Rex and Davenport Spring Outdoor Track & Field teams will compete within their respective divisions. 
  2. Meets will be held on the following dates: May 12, May 19, and May 26. 
  3. The Hockomock League Meet is scheduled for May 30 at Foxborough High School
  4. The cut off and entry due dates for Spring Outdoor Track & Field will be June 15. 
  5. Sectional and Divisional Meets will take place between June 17 and June 27. 






As voted on by the Hockomock Athletic Directors, the following parameters pertain to Spring Unified Track:

  1. Meets will be held on the following dates: 

May 14, May 21

  1. The Hockomock League Meet is scheduled for May 28 at King Philip High School.
  2. The Sectional Meet will take place between June 1 and June 5. 

 

*All Spring 2020 Athletic Schedules, with the exception of Spring Unified Track, may now be found on the MIAA website. Schedules are subject to change based on weather, field availability and any unforeseen circumstances.
