Roosevelt Avenue School is a neighborhood-based elementary school presently housing kindergarten through grade 5. There are two classrooms of grades kindergarten, 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5. There are presently 254 students with an average class size of 22.  Our student population usually ranges between 250 and 270 students.

Grades kindergarten, 1, 2, 3 and 4 have co-taught classrooms. A modified, departmentalized approach is used in grades 4 and 5. The North Attleboro Elementary Schools’ curriculum has been aligned with the Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks.The latest NCLB Report Card reported that Roosevelt is a Very High Performing School in ELA and a High Performing School in Mathematics.  Roosevelt Avenue is rated as a Level 1 school.

Special Needs programs include Speech and Language Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Counseling, ELL and a resource services (pull-out and inclusion).  Five paraprofessionals provide assistance during the school day.

Roosevelt Avenue School has a veteran, experienced staff with an average of 20+ years of experience.  Mrs. Magliocco is in her fifth year as principal at Roosevelt, although she is a veteran principal of 14 years.   Prior to coming to Roosevelt, she served as principal at Lonsdale Elementary School in Lincoln, RI and the Henry Barnard School in Providence, RI, successively.  She taught as both a special education resource teacher and as a 4th grade teacher in the Middletown, RI school system.  She served as a School Accountability for Learning and Teaching Fellow for the RI Department of Education before transitioning to her role as a principal.  

Facilities include a Library/Media Center, Art and Music Rooms, and an All-Purpose Room.There is an active Parent-Teacher Organization.  Our school’s motto is “Building a Brighter Future Together.”
