The NAHS Marching Band is the most visual group at NAHS, made up of students from
students in grades 8-12 and is part of an intensive program at North Attleboro High
School. Rehearsals for the group begin over the summer with weekly rehearsals developing
sound production, marching technique, warm-up procedure, and drill exercises. The
group holds an annual two-week band camp beginning the final two weeks of August.
This camp allows students to physically prepare for the upcoming season and learn
the year’s field show, while also forming friendships and becoming part of a tight-knit
family.
The 50 member Marching Band plays at state MICCA and NESBA competitions, all home
football games and rallies, as well as town and state parades. The ensemble is extra-curricular
and meets three nights a week.
