A Cappella Choir is an auditioned ensemble that rehearses after school once a week
and performs a cappella music of various styles. Emphasis is on contemporary a cappella
music in four parts, although other repertoire may include Renaissance Madrigals,
Barbershop, Doo-Wop, or any other form of a cappella music. Rehearsals are on Thursdays
from 2:00-4:00 in the Theater, and are required for all members of the ensemble.
A Cappella Choir performs at numerous NAHS concerts throughout the year and also
hosts an annual A Cappella Festival featuring college a cappella groups with NAHS
alumni.
